Day 1: Exploring Old Quebec
Your trip begins as we arrive in Quebec City and check into the boutique hotel located in the heart of Old Quebec. Then, the group sets out to explore the city’s historic district, starting with a stroll along Rue Saint-Jean, a street lined with shops, cafés, and bakeries.
Then, we’ll visit the iconic Château Frontenac and take a walk around this castle-like structure, learning about its rich history and the famous guests who have stayed there.
After the stroll, you’ll taste the richness of Quebec cuisine in a renowned restaurant. Savor local specialties like tourtière, poutine, and game meats, all prepared with a modern twist.
In the afternoon, we’ll take a short walk to the nearby Battlefields Park, home to the historic Plains of Abraham. This expansive park is not only a beautiful green space but also the site of the pivotal 1759 battle between the French and British forces.
Day 2: Quebec Culture and Heritage
We’re going to start the second day with a visit to the Citadelle of Quebec, a massive star-shaped fortress that still serves as an active military installation. By arriving early, we’ll even witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony.
Then, the group will take the funicular down to the Quartier Petit Champlain, one of the oldest and prettiest neighborhoods in North America, to wander through its charming streets, lined with artisan shops and cafés. We’ll also pay a visit to the Notre Dame des Victoires Church, one of the oldest stone churches in Canada.
In the afternoon, you can immerse yourself in the culture of Quebec at the Musée National. The museum houses a collection of Quebecois art, ranging from historical to contemporary pieces. Finally, we’ll conclude the trip with a farewell dinner at another top-notch restaurant.
